Remodelling of the Regent Street Campus

Client: University of Westminster

A Listed Building in one of London's more important streets was the original home of the Regent Street Polytechnic, which grew to become the University of Westminster. Over the intervening decades, the requirements of tertiary education has changed and we have been instrumental in a number of projects on the campus to provide modern facilities suitable for the 21st Century. The campus is under great pressure, both in terms of the number of students and the restrictions imposed by the early 20th Century building. The three projects illustrated show the creation of multi-purpose informal study areas, occupying, what has previously been singular dedicated spaces. The results add colour and verve to the Edwardian matrix of the existing building.
