Rowing Club, Chiswick Boat House

Client: London University Rowing Club

London University's rowing club is housed in a listed concrete structure built in the early 1930's. We were tasked with the extension and refurbishment of the rowing club building, which was to be funded by a residential scheme on the landward edge of the site. By exploiting the section it was possible to provide all of the residential accommodation with river views and roof terraces.

The rowing club building itself was re-planned internally, respecting the listed building status with a modest extension and a discreet over-cladding to provide new rendered facades incorporating insulation and services.
