Library and Remodelling, Little Titchfield Street

Client: University of Westminster

We were tasked with remodeling the entire campus at Little Titchfield Street for the University of Westminster, which was implemented over two phases.

The brief for phase one was to upgrade the library facilities and general study areas to increase their desirability amongst the student population. We re-planned these areas, re-orientating the book stacks to complement the existing windows and allow light to flood into the interior of the building.

Within the interior we formed a range of spaces to promote flexible use and functionality. Small group areas were provided in glass enclosures and intimate groupings shaped and formed by the use of large-scale contemporary furniture, but with individual study promoted by carousels throughout the floor.
